Finding the right volunteer opportunity for you

Tuesday May 22, 2012
07:00PM - 08:00PM
Are you “in transition” – or hoping to be? Do you want to find an Encore career or just do something different? Are you looking to add meaning to your life? Volunteering at a nonprofit lets you make a difference in the community, but it can also expand your horizons, give you new skills and help you create new relationships. Learn how to connect to the many opportunities available and find the one(s) that will best meet your personal and professional goals. Volunteering is much more than a way to give. It is a way to get: new skills, broader experiences, opportunities to demonstrate and document your leadership, your creativity, your budgeting savvy. Volunteer and show the world that you can get things done! Presenter: Carol King, Director Next Step: Engaged Retirement & Encore Careers
